The new RideERG Apple Watch app lets your watch provide live heart-rate data during an indoor cycling workout, while also putting useful ride information on your wrist.
RideERG now keeps a detailed history of completed sessions. Connect your Strava account from Settings and send completed rides to Strava when you want them there.
Choose a cycling workout, connect your smart trainer and get moving. The interface stays deliberately clean before, during and after the session.
The focus stays the same: useful indoor cycling training features without turning RideERG into an expensive, overloaded platform.
RideERG is designed to keep indoor cycling training simple. We do not sell personal data and we do not use the app for advertising tracking.
RideERG stores information needed to run the app, including saved workouts, workout settings, favourites, recent selections and completed ride logs. Depending on the features you enable, workout data may be stored locally and synced through your iCloud account.
If iCloud workout sync is enabled, RideERG uses Apple's iCloud services to keep supported workout data in sync across your devices associated with your Apple account. RideERG does not operate its own account system for this feature.
If you enable Apple Health integration, RideERG can write completed cycling workouts, estimated active energy and available heart-rate samples to Apple Health. This is optional and requires your permission.
RideERG can receive live heart-rate information from its Apple Watch companion app and can connect to compatible Bluetooth smart trainers and heart-rate devices to control workouts and display live ride metrics.
If you choose to connect Strava, RideERG uses the Strava API to authorise your account and upload completed activity data that you choose to send. Strava access is optional and can be disconnected from within the app.
RideERG does not sell your data. Information is only shared with services such as Apple Health, iCloud or Strava when you enable the relevant feature and grant the required permission or authorisation.
